Formerly under the patronage of Piccolomini family, Pope Pius II dislocated in this church the ancient care of Santa Lucia di Castelvecchio sited in Perugia . The classical facade and the bell tower, made of brick and travertine, are dated back to the restoration carried out at the beginning of the nineteenth century. The interior has retained the seventeenth-century furnishings. On the right side of the altar is a painting with the “Supper at Emmaus” to be attributed to Raffaello Vanni; the altar on the left housed a beautiful painting of the Florentine school of the mid-sixteenth century, stolen. On the major altar there is a very revered wooden “Crucifix” to which the Festa del Perdono. On the same altar is located a canvas with the “Virgin, Saint John and the Magdalene” dated 1657.
